The Hizbullah-led opposition announced Tuesday it was ending a general strike and blockade of roads that has paralyzed the country and led to violent clashes, a spokesman for the opposition said. The spokesman, who spoke on condition of anonymity pending a formal statement, said late Tuesday that the strike had "achieved its goals" and served as a warning to the government. However, he warned of more protests later.
