Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal has warned that the efforts of the international community to undermine his organization will cause the situation to "blow up in the face of the Israeli occupier," Israel Radio reported overnight Tuesday. In an interview with British newspaper The Guardian, Mashaal blamed negative outside sources for the tensions between Hamas and Fatah, primarily Israel and the US. He said that armed resistance was what would bring about an end to the occupation and what caused former prime minister Ariel Sharon to pull out of the Gaza Strip and his predecessor Ehud Barak to leave Lebanon.
