Kidnapped soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit is still in the hands of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Hamas political bureau chief Khaled Mashaal told the Egyptian weekly Al-Ahram al-Arabi. Mashaal said that he did not give the order to kidnap Shalit, whom he called a "prisoner of war," saying that the Palestinians had a right to exchange him as such.
