Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal said that his organization was prepared to cooperate with an Arab inquiry committee looking into the goings-on in the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio reported on Tuesday. In a meeting in Damascus on Monday night with Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa, Mashaal added that only renewing the dialogue with Fatah would resolve the crisis in the Palestinian Authority. However, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas later refused to renew the contacts with Hamas, accusing them of bringing al-Qaida into Gaza.
