Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Wednesday called on the Palestinian government led by Hamas to accept the agreements made by the Palestinian Authority with Israel. He said that such a move would enable a renewal of negotiations. Mubarak made this statement in a meeting with French President Jacques Chirac in Cairo. Both leaders called for a continuation of aid to the Palestinians, Israel Radio reported.
