Nasrallah appears in public for first time in over a year

Hizbullah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah appeared in public Saturday for the first time in more than a year to take part in the most important holiday for Shiite Muslims. Television footage broadcast on Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV station and other stations showed the black-turbaned Nasrallah, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of people, taking part in Ashoura commemorations in the Hizbullah stronghold of south Beirut. He was seen walking amid dozens of black-clad security men, waving to the crowds. The Hizbullah leader was expected to address the crowds later Saturday.
