Hizbullah leader: Final war report proves that Israel admits failure and that Lebanon won.

Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah thanked retired judge Eliyahu Winograd for his honesty, saying that the Winograd Committee's final report proved that Israel lost the Second Lebanon War, and that the resistance in Lebanon was victorious.
"The important achievement of the July war is that Israel admitted that it failed, and that the Lebanese resistance was victorious," Nasrallah told the Lebanese TV station OTV on Wednesday night.
"The most important factor in the resistance was the fighting of the young people, but another factor was the public support," Nasrallah continued. "Those same young people - sons of their families were uprooted from their homes. Over one million people were uprooted and they received the support of the Lebanese public.
"Without this support, and if the atmosphere were different, it's possible that we would have lost the war and headed into a civil war," he said.
Further, the guerrilla group's leader thanked "[retired judge Eliyahu] Winograd for his honesty," but added that the final Winograd report hid many details about the war, including the fact that the war was premeditated, and that it was planned for September 2006.
"What the report doesn't tell, is meant to safeguard Israel's foreign relations," Nasrallah continued, saying that "the timing [for the war] was set for the end of September, beginning of October, because this is the tourism season. Let's thank God that it all happened in July because they had plans to launch a surprise attack for three days in October."
