Syrian People's Assembly Speaker Mahmoud al-Abrash met Sunday with North Korea's Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly, Choi Tae-bok. The two, according to a Syrian state-run news agency, discussed parliamentary ties and the current situation in the region. Tae-Bok expressed his pleasure in visiting Syria and stressed North Korea's support to Syria in its struggle to restore the Golan Heights, lost to Israel in the Six Day War. Reportedly, Tae-Bok strongly condemned the "immoral and brutal destruction" left by "the Israeli occupation" in Quneitra.
