Palestinian officials said Saturday they welcome the latest peace push by Jordan's King Abdullah, but denied reports that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas would attend a trilateral meeting with the king and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Abdullah is to meet with Abbas in the West Bank on Sunday, and hold talks with Olmert in Jordan on Tuesday. The king is to talk to the leaders about how to move ahead with an Arab peace initiative.
