An international Mideast conference this fall must produce a binding timetable for establishing a Palestinian state, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said Saturday. Fayyad asked the US government to prepare well for the gathering, expected to be held in November in Washington. The conference should produce "explicit agreement on the establishment of a Palestinian state ... and laying down a binding timetable and international guarantees for the completion of an Israeli-Palestinian agreement," Fayyad told reporters.
