Palestinian security academy to graduate first group of officers

Palestinians say they will graduate their first group of officers from their own security academy. Around 140 officers will graduate from a newly-built Palestinian security academy in the West Bank town of Jericho on Saturday. In the past, security officials were trained abroad. The academy is funded by international donors who are assisting the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas halt attacks on Israelis from the West Bank and lawlessness.
