Report: Al-Zarqawi seeking new allies in Iraq

The head of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was reportedly looking for additional allies among the Sunni opposition in his battle against the American presence in Iraq, according to the British Sunday Times newspaper. The paper quoted an anti-American Sunni leader who claimed he had met al-Zarqawi recently and related that the senior Jordanian-born terrorist carried an explosive belt on his body at all times in order to prevent bring "humiliated" should American forces find him.
