Terrorist Samir Kuntar will visit Syria and meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad in coming weeks, Qatari newspaper Al-Watan reported Saturday.
Kuntar was expected to thank Assad for Syrian's role in defending Lebanon.
The newspaper also reported that Kuntar will meet with members of a committee which "defends Syrian prisoners in Israel jails," and discuss with them the best processes by which to defend prisoners, in light of his 29 years spent in prison in Israel.
