Report: Turkey, Syria disputing over drawing water from Euphrates River

Syria and Turkey were having a dispute - not their first - over sources over fresh water, Israel Radio reported Friday.
According to pan-Arab daily Asharq Alawsat, Damascus demanded in ercent days to enlarge the quantity of water it draws from the Euphrates River.
Ankara reportedly rejected the demand, because of its own reliance on the Euphrates as a main water supply for its arid territories.
