Rice to meet Egyptian officials during upcoming Mideast visit

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his intelligence chief, Omar Suleiman, during her Middle East tour next week, the Egyptian Foreign minister said Friday.
Ahmed Aboul-Gheit said Rice's meeting with top Egyptian officials would focus on Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
Rice is scheduled to visit Egypt on Tuesday, Aboul-Gheit said in a statement.
State Department spokesman Tom Casey has told reporters that Rice will be in the Middle East and then at NATO talks from March 3-7.
