Roadside bomb kills US soldier north of Baghdad, military says

The US military announced Monday that an American soldier had been killed in a roadside bombing north of Baghdad. A statement said two other soldiers also had been wounded in the blast in Salahuddin province. The identities of the soldiers have been withheld pending notification of relatives. Monday's attack raises to at least 4,082 members of the US military who have died in the Iraq war since it began in March 2003. That's according to an Associated Press count.
