Russian news agencies cite Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as saying that the "Quartet" of Mideast negotiators may meet with Israel and the Palestinians in November.
Lavrov is quoted by the ITAR-Tass news agency as saying the talks are under discussion and could be held in the first half of November.
ITAR-Tass and RIA-Novosti also quoted him as saying that it "would be natural that the meeting would take place in the Mideast region."
He said the meeting would be at the ministerial level. Lavrov was speaking in Yerevan, Armenia, on Monday.
