Saniora: Israel should be made to pay compensation
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora said Wednesday that Israel should be made to pay compensation for damage from military strikes.
He also appealed to delegates at a Mideast conference to stop the fighting between Israel and Hizbullah terrorists and to provide humanitarian aid.
"Israel cannot go on indefinitely disregarding international law. It must be made to pay and we shall commence legal proceedings and spare no avenue to make Israel compensate the Lebanese people," he said in written remarks distributed to reporters.
