Saudi paper reports imminent secret deal on Shalit

A secret prisoner-swap deal between Palestinians and Israel would begin in Amman, Jordan over the next few days, Saudi newspaper Ukaz reported Saturday morning. According to the report, Israel was expected to release jailed Hamas officials over the next couple of days while the release of captured IDF soldier, Cpl. Gilad Shallit was to be announced. The newspaper reported that a second part of the deal included the gradual release of 740 imprisoned Palestinians. The report had yet to be confirmed Israeli sources.
