Search for survivors ends in Turkey dormitory collapse

Rescuers called off their search for survivors of a collapsed girls dormitory in central Turkey after they pulled the body of an 18th victim out of the debris, an official said Saturday. The three-story building crumbled with the pre-dawn explosion Friday in the central Konya province, trapping dozens inside. Rescuers worked late into the night when they found the body of the girl, whose family had reported her missing, Mayor Mehmet Demirgul said. The search was then called off because there was no one left unaccounted for, he said.
