Suicide car bomber kills 3 Iraqi policemen; wounds 20 people in Basra

A suicide car bomber killed three Iraqi policemen when he blew up his vehicle outside the police headquarters in the southern city of Basra, a police officer said. Twenty people - six policemen and 14 civilians - were also wounded in the blast, which occurred at 8 a.m. (03:00 GMT) in the central Al-Ashar district, according to police Brig. Gen. Mohammed Ali. Witnesses at the scene said the driver wore Arab traditional clothes and headdress.
