Syrian Hamas leader to join Shalit talks in Cairo

Damascus-based Hamas leader Muhammad Nazal was expected to join prisoner swap talks in Cairo on Wednesday, Israel Radio reported, citing London newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat. Palestinian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahar joined the Cairo talks for the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit on Tuesday evening. Hamas sources said on Tuesday that a deal for Shalit's release will be completed within the next few days.
