Syrian parliament member Muhammad Habash said Tuesday that Syria would not be opposed in principle to open negotiations with Israel.
The renewal of talks would be an important step, Habash told London's A-Sharq al-Awsat daily, adding that Israel had cut off dialogue in the past.
