Five Turkish soldiers were wounded Tuesday in an attack on a military convoy by Kurdish guerrillas in the country's southeast, Turkey's state-run Anatolia news agency said.
The agency, citing unnamed local authorities, says the ambush near the city of Tunceli prompted Turkish troops in area to launch a counter attack.
The attack came as Turkey's military and civilian leaders met to discuss security measures against a surge of Kurdish rebel violence.
