The Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office said Friday it had launched a probe into whether the IDF operation in Gaza counts as "genocide, torture and crimes against humanity."
The office said the investigation was launched after an Islamic human rights organization filed an official complaint against Israeli leaders, including the president, prime minister and foreign minister.
The prosecutor's office said the rights organization had also asked for the Israeli officials to be detained if they set foot in Turkey.
