US-led forces conducted a raid early Thursday in the Baghdad neighborhood of Sadr City that killed three insurgents and wounded three civilians, the military said. The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, when a joint US-Iraqi force was patrolling a neighborhood in the southern part of the Shi'ite slum, searching for an insurgent cell suspected of smuggling weapons, including the devastating explosively formed penetrators, from Iran, the military said.
