A US soldier was killed in an attack by small-arms fire during combat operations in eastern Baghdad, the military said Monday. The Multi-National Division - Baghdad soldier died Sunday, the brief military statement said. The soldier's name was withheld pending notification of relatives. The death toll of US military personnel has reached at least 3,804 since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
