Iraqi troops have seized Iranian-made rockets and mortars in Baghdad's Shiite slum of Sadr City, the US military said Wednesday. It said the cache was discovered Monday near where Shi'ite militants fired more than 1,000 rockets toward the fortified Green Zone during clashes with US-led forces earlier this year. Iran denies US allegations that it trains and arms militants in Iraq. A statement Wednesday said the seizure includes "new Iranian munitions with a manufacture date of early 2008." It said scores of Iranian rockets, launchers and mortars were seized along with munitions from Russia and China.
