US soldier dies in non-combat related explosion north of Baghdad

A US soldier died in a non-combat related explosion north of Baghdad, the military said Sunday. Another soldier was wounded in the blast, which occurred Saturday in Salahuddin province, the US military said in a statement. At least 3,851 members of the US military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
