US soldier killed by roadside bomb in Baghdad

One US soldier was killed by a roadside bomb near Baghdad, the US military said Sunday. The soldier died of wounds suffered when the explosives detonated near a US vehicle during combat operations on Saturday, the military said in a statement. The victim's name was withheld pending family notification.
