United Arab Emirates President Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday ordered the transfer of US$30 million (€22.74 million) to the Palestinian Authority, the state owned news agency, WAM, reported. The money will be transferred to the PA, headed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and not the Hamas-led government. The Arab League, angered by the IDF offensive in Gaza, voted last month to end its financial blockade on the Palestinians after Hamas agreed to an international peace conference with Israel.
