Minister Ehud Barak's lawyer Ram Casspi said that the media "loves to
hate" his client in an interview with Army Radio on Wednesday, following
State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss's report.Tel-Tsur
told Israel Radio there was no hint of corruption or improper conduct
in the investigation into Barak, so there is no basis for the

the media focused disproportionately on the portion of the report
saying that Barak's political finance dealings may have been unethical.

actions were not in anyway illegal, nor did he try to manipulate the
system," Casspi told Army Radio. "Everything was completely kosher and
the media's interpretation, as usual, did injustice to the man."
Navot Tel-Tsur, another of Barak's lawyers, also commented on the report Wednesday, saying that it clears Barak of any allegations he received unauthorized funds from unknown sources during his term at the Defense Ministry.
According to Tel-Tsur, the transfer of Barak's consulting firm to his
daughters was the appropriate step he could have taken in the short time
that was available to him before his appointment.
