A gunman opened fire at the entrance to Moshav Tnuvot in the Sharon region on Wednesday, injuring two men.
The assailant shot toward a jeep driving on Road 57, and hit a gas station just outside the moshav. A 58-year-old man was seriously injured from gun shot wounds to his upper body and a 40-year-old man sustained light injuries to his lower body.
Magen David Adom paramedics treated the two men and evacuated the seriously injured man to Laniado Medical Center in Netanya.
Police, who believe the incident was the result of a conflict between criminals, arrested a suspect in the shooting Wednesday afternoon, Army Radio reported.
An ongoing investigation revealed that two sons of the man seriously wounded in the incident stand accused of murdering a relative of the suspected shooter. It was unclear if additional suspects were involved in the incident.
