Jaffa: Assailant stabs IDF soldier, tries to steal gun

Man attempts to take Armored Corps officer's weapon, leaves him lightly to moderately injured; motorcyclist gunned down in Tiberias.

A 22-year-old IDF Armored Corps officer was stabbed during an attempt to steal his weapon in Jaffa on Sunday morning.
An unknown masked assailant stabbed the soldier in his chest and made off with his weapon. Witnesses told Army Radio that the officer and several civilian bystanders chased down the attacker and retrieved the weapon.

A Magen David Adom team treated the victim on the scene before evacuating him to Icholov hospital in moderate to light condition.
Police were searching for the suspect in the area and investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Several suspects were in custody at the time of this report.
Motorcyclist gunned down in North
A 23-year-old motorcyclist was shot dead on his motorbike in the village of Marar, near Tiberius on Sunday morning.
The gunshot victim, of the Druse village of Ein al-Assad, was critically injured by shots, and was rushed to the Puria Medical Center in Tiberius, where he died of his injuries.
Police said the motive for the shooting was not yet known.
Senior officers, headed by Amakim police district head Lt.-Cmdr. Nissim Levi, met at the murder scene and held an evaluation meeting, as forensic officers gathered evidence.
