Kiryat Malachi officials suspected of sex crimes

Suspects allegedly raped a female colleague in the municipality, also suspected of extortion, bribery, fraud.

Police on Wednesday detained several senior officials in the Kiryat Malachi Municipality on suspicion of carrying out sex crimes, extortion, bribery and fraud.

According to suspicions, the suspects allegedly raped a female colleague in the municipality.

The arrests came following an undercover investigation by the National Economic Crimes Unit.

The suspects were scheduled to face a remand hearing at Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court on Tuesday afternoon.
