A Kiryat Shmona man is alleged to have indecently assaulted two women via video calls, according to an indictment filed in the Nazareth Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

The indictment charges that 34-year-old David Strol contacted the first complainant, a student, in 2009 after she put up a poster on her college campus to advertise for a roommate.

Strol is alleged to have taken the complainant’s telephone number from the poster and called her, saying he was conducting an anonymous survey for the popular women’s magazine L’Isha.

The indictment claims Strol asked the complainant several questions about her sexual preferences. The complainant answered, believing Strol to be genuine, but is said to have become suspicious when he asked for her name. She hung up when Strol said he had seen her on her college campus, the indictment said.

Strol allegedly called the complainant several more times, and said he had watched her putting up the roommate advertisement.

The indictment charges that Strol called the complainant again about a month later, this time via video call. When the complainant answered, Strol played a video of himself naked from the waist down.

Strol is also alleged to have telephoned the second complainant, a female coworker, in March and played her a similar video.
