Mayor Barkat kicks off Limmud FSU Jerusalem Festival

Exhibits open to honor President Shimon Peres and the birth of the late prime minister Menachem Begin.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat on Wednesday joined members of the Peres and Begin families at the capital’s historic train station for the opening event of the Limmud FSU Jerusalem Festival.

Marking the 90th birthday of President Shimon Peres and celebrating 100 years since the birth of the late prime minister Menachem Begin, two photo exhibits will follow the lives and contributions of the two leaders.

The exhibits will be open to the public free of charge and run until November 16.
