Police have launched investigations into two suspected hit and run accidents on Thursday that left one teenage girl seriously injured in Pardes Hanna and two teenagers wounded in Haifa. On Thursday evening, a 14-year-old girl was found lying on a road with serious injuries. Police suspect she was hit by a driver who did not stop after the accident.
Eye witnesses reported seeing a car hitting the girl and driving away, Hebrew media reports said. Police are also examining the possibility that the girl jumped out of a moving vehicle after being abducted. Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided first aid, before evacuating her to the Hillel Yafe Medical Center.
Earlier on Thursday, a moped struck and lightly wounded a pedestrian in Haifa. The moped’s passenger, a 13-year-old boy, fell of the vehicle and was lightly injured.
Both were taken to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for further treatment.
