Ironi Ashkelon took revenge on Bnei Hasharon on Monday night, winning 85-77 a week after losing to Dan Shamir's team in the State Cup semifinals.
Ashkelon's Jimmy Baxter led all scorers with 24 points, inspiring his side to a superb comeback in the third quarter.
Hasharon led 46-32 at half- time, but Ariel Beit-Halachmi's team talk
clearly did the trick, and his players came out fighting, outscoring
their opponents 28-8 in the third stanza.
Beit-Halachmi was delighted to get one over the team he guided last season.
"In the first half we played very weakly, but in at half-time we discussed how we should improve and we did," he said.
