Hapoel Galil Elyon and Hapoel Afula/Gilboa face a tense second leg in the second round of the State Cup, after losing to lower league opposition on Sunday night.
Galil was defeated 86-85 by National League side Hapoel Yukneam/Magido, which is looking to reach the quarterfinals of the State Cup for a second straight season.
Afula/Gilboa succumbed 85-84 to Lev Hasharon, which had led by as many as 10 points on Sunday.
The return legs of the second round will be played this Wednesday and despite losing both Galil and Afula/Gilboa will be confident of claiming aggregate victories and advancing to the last eight.
The most intriguing second leg encounter will be played in Herzliya where Bnei Hasharon will try and overturn a six point loss (81-75) to Maccabi Rishon Lezion.
Rishon led by 18 points during the third quarter, but Cookie Belcher's three pointer to end the game cut his side's deficit to just six points ahead of the second leg.
Oded Sha'ashoa led Rishon with 18 points, with Jason Williams scoring 17 for Bnei Hashron.
Ironi Nahariya will have a 15 point cushion ahead of the second leg after defeating Ironi Ashkelon 79-64 in the second of Sunday's all BSL encounters.
New signing Ashante Johnson scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Nahariya, with Adrian Pledger and Ido Kozikaro each adding 14 points.
Also on Sunday, Hapoel Holon defeated Elitzur Netnaya 94-82 and Ironi Ramat Gan outlasted Maccabi Givat Shmuel 89-82.
