David Beckham denied on Monday reports that he had received an offer to join Maccabi Netanya and that he planned to join the Israeli team.
"I don't know of any concrete offer from a team in Israel, and I don't intend to consider any offer except the one from Real Madrid," the English football star told reporters at an official press conference in Madrid.
Beckham, who has been playing as a substitute under coach Fabio Capello, said Monday he has resumed contract negotiations with the team. His current contract finishes at the end of this season.
"I am happy here. My family are happy here," Beckham said. "At the moment I play for Real Madrid. Let's hope it carries on."
