In the latest Israel Football League match, the Haifa Underdogs defeated the Tel Aviv Pioneers 26-23. The Pioneers looked to be heading towards an easy victory after taking a 9-0 first-quarter lead and then a 23-7 halftime advantage, but the Underdogs piled on 19 unanswered points in the fourth period. With the score tied at 23 and just 44 seconds left in the game, Ori Shterenbach kicked a field goal to give Haifa the victory. The MVP of the game was Haifa quarterback Tal Avivi.
