Cleveland Friends recorded their third win of the Heritage Affinity AFI men's contact league on Friday with a convincing victory over Wizard World. Halfway through its first-round games, the Friends are 3-0. Saturday teams Big Blue, D & D Sugar, and CardiaCare Rehab are all at 3-1 after suffering their first losses of the season. Four women's teams post shutouts. Week two of the Fieldturf Women's American Football in Israel league featured four shutouts and one nail-biter. Defending champion Big Blue and veteran squad Ziontours both upped their records to 2-0. Neither team has yielded a point this season. Joining them at the top of the standings at 2-0 are the women of Jump Gym. Ziontours and Jump Gym will square off on November 30 in the week three featured matchup. Results from week two of the Fiedturf WAFI: Big Blue 26, Diamonds.com 0; Ziontours 51, Pueblo Nuevo Productions 0; Mishaan Plumbers 51, Eden's Eagles 0; Jump Gym 28, Boston Friends/Haviva 0; and Cafe Rimon 24, Cincy Friends 12. Pizza Sababa/Super Deal remains undefeated in high school league In week four of the High School American Football in Israel league, Pizza Sababa/Super Deal gained a share of first place in the standings with an impressive shutout of Oasis Management. Pizza Sababa/Super Deal leads the league in scoring offense with a whopping 160 points after just three games played. The team has also yielded the fewest points on defense, giving up only 19. Results from week four of the HSAFI: Pizza Sababa/Super Deal 25, Oasis Management 0; Buckeyes 39, Bulldogs 12; and Thunderbolts 13, Dominators 6. Standings after week four: Chashmo Jaguars (3-0), Pizza Sababa/Super Deal (3-0), Buckeyes (3-1), Thunderbolts (3-1), Dominators (0-3), Oasis Management (0-3), Bulldogs (0-4). New team storms into Tuesday night co-ed league A new Tuesday Night Football League team formed by AFI president Steve Leibowitz routed Pardes 37-6 in week three. The team, which will be known as Big Blue, is mostly made up of former Kfar Zippori and former Josh Shuman PR players and took the field against Pardes without even practicing together. The other TNFL game last week was a Hebrew Union College derby. The HUC Mullet Men defeated HUC-YA 35-6.
