Isaac Massil scored 97 not out to steer Lions Lod to a comfortable seven-wicket win over Ra'anana and Isaac Talkar took four for 28 as Ramle overcame the challenge from Young Ashdod. In other Division One action, Ashdod A moved off the foot of the table with a threewicket win over Tel Aviv. On Friday, Ra'anana batted first, posted a useful score of 200, with Danny Hotz scoring an impressive 65, and then could only watch on as Yefet Nagavkar (85) and Isaac Massil (97 not out) added 160 for the third wicket. Six wickets for Ashdod veteran Gershon Waskar (six for 40) sent Tel Aviv crashing to 151 all out. In Ashdod on Friday, and it would have been far worse if not for a late contribution of 30 not out by number 10 batsman Eddie Worrell. Menashe Wadhawker (42 not out) top scored as the home side successfully reached their target with three wickets in hand. Paul Thomas took three for 30 for Tel Aviv. Ramle fast bowler Isaac Talkar took four for 28, and Raymond Talkar three for 21, as Ramle dismissed Young Ashdod for 132 in Ashdod on Saturday.
