American Football in Israel is hosting its first-ever event in Tel Aviv next weekend. Following years of success at Kraft Family Stadium in Jerusalem, AFI has invited anyone interested in American football to the Sportek complex on Friday, June 8, from 10 a.m.-noon. In addition to a general interest meeting, where AFI officials will explain plans for the new Israel Football League - the nation's first fully-equipped tackle football league - and for expanding AFI's flag football activities to the Tel Aviv area, there will be flag football games and activities. The event will be held on the east side of Sportek, near the climbing wall. For more information, visit, e-mail or call Adam Slater at (050) 220-7598.
