A record field of 80 golfers competed in the second qualifying round of the Rolex and Citroen Int'l Pairs Competition in hot and windy conditions at Ga'ash Golf Club on Wednesday. The cut for the 24 groups who are going to play in the final was 39 Stableford points. The leading team in the Better-Ball Stableford competition were schoolboys Daniel Goldsmith and Oren Levy with 44 points. Also on 44 were Ami Licht and Yoav Shenhav followed by Itzik Edelman and Rafi Zarfati on 43 points. The Gaasg Wine Center's "Nearest to the Pin" prizes went to: Hole 4, Par 3, 124 meters: Len Markushovitz Hole 9, Par 3, 160 meters: Pini Wagner Hole 14, Par 3, 164 meters: Yuval Lanual. The final of the Rolex and Citroen International Pairs competition will be held at the Gaash Golf Club on Thursday with a shot-gun start at 12:30 p.m.
