Penticon won the Babe Gillett Fall Softball Tournament Sunday night at the Baptist Village with a workmanlike 7-0 victory over Ziontours. Ami Baran pitched a fine game, striking out four and squelching all Ziontours rallies. The Ra'anana team drew first blood in the third when Howie Hirsch tripled and Dan Marcus (3-3, 5 RBI's) singled him in. Daniel Maddy Weitzman's 2-run single in the fifth, one of three hits on the night for the youngster, made the score a virtually unsurpassable 5-0 and the Penticon defense, in particular second baseman Benzi Fleitman made several solid plays to keep the Jerusalemites bats at bay. Aaron Levarko pitched well for Ziontours, and Eitan Frankel was great at second base, but several errors led to runs.
