Golf: Harroche sweeps opposition at Ga'ash monthly medal

After a frustrating few weeks the weather finally allowed all three divisions, comprising of nearly 80 golfers, to complete this month's monthly medal at Ga'ash Golf Club. In the "A" Division, Raphy Harroche took first place with a net-69 followed by Rony Zyc on net-71. Itzik Eidelman, Alecs Oken, and Mati Zeiti-Elboim all had net-71 in the "B" Division with Itzik taking first place on the count out, followed by Alecs. The "C" Division was won by Henrietta Esser on net-71 followed by Avinoam Zehavi on net-73. Judy Reefe was once again amongst the prize winners, winning the Wine Center at Gaash's "Nearest to the Pin" prize on hole 4, par 3, coming 4.05 meters from the pin. In the Blue Birdies Nomad's nine-hole Golf competition, held last week at Ga'ash Golf, the format was a Stableford Pairs competition, "Cha-Cha", which means that on all even holes one score of the pair counts and on odd holes, both scores are added together. The theme for this competition was Irish day, highlighted by Bushmill whiskey, Murphy's beer, cottage pie and hot dogs, all served at the prize giving ceremony held at the "Albatross" restaurant at the Club. First place went to Victor Goldner and Meir Asayag on 33 Stableford points, followed by Dudu Tor and Itamar Cohen on 29 points and coming third were Itzik Eidelman and Elad Hason on 28 Stableford points. "Nearest to the Pin" prizes went to Avigdor Ofir and Yigal Levy.
