Israel beaten by Brazilians in Haarlem basketball final

Israel's run at the Haarlem basketball tournament in the Netherlands came to a disappointing end in Sunday's final. The national team lost 92-77 to Brazilian side Minas Tenis Clube, ending its four game winning streak at the event. Sunday's win was sweet revenge for Minas, which lost to Israel by 25 points (108-83) in the teams' first game of the tournament. Israel, which was led by Yogev Ohayon's 18 points, was guided by Roni Bosani, after head coach Tzvika Sherf returned to Israel for personal reasons after Saturday's semifinal. The blue-and-white was also without Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Omri Casspi and Ironi Ramat Gan players Nir Cohen and Elishay Kadir, who returned to Israel on Sunday ahead of their teams' BSL encounter on Monday.
