Andy Ram and Shahar Pe'er advanced safely into the second round of their respective doubles tournaments in Wimbledon on Thursday.

Ram and Julian Knowle, seeded eighth at the All England Club, defeated Americans Eric Butorac and Rajeev Ram 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-4, 6-2, while Pe'er and Monica Niculesco, seeded No. 14, beat Alona and Kateryna Bondarenko 6-2, 6-2.
